Swimming Pool Designer

Job Summary

J&M Pool Company is a fast-growing swimming pool company located on the southside of Atlanta. We specialize in high end custom solutions for our clients. We are a full-service swimming pool company with over 50 employees and are looking to continue to grow our construction design department.

We are looking for an individual to take charge and help supervise our current pool build projects.  Besides great organizational skills and knowledge of the pool installation process, candidates must have exceptional communication and problem solving skill sets. This position requires the ability to work independently and be proactive, hard-working, and flexible.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with clients to understand their needs and preferences for their swimming pool design
• Use design software and available data to create real 2D and 3D pool renditions of the existing site and integrate pool project designs that meet client specifications.
• Collaborate with project managers and contractors to ensure designs are feasible and can be executed within budget and timeline constraints
• Communicate with clients to present designs and make revisions as needed
• Drive material selection process with customer to ensure an aesthetic and feasible project outcome.
• Keep up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in swimming pool design and construction

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, or a related field
• 2+ years of experience in swimming pool design
• Proficiency in design software, such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, or 3D Studio Max
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of local building codes and regulations related to swimming pool construction
