Responsibilities

• Accountable for all Construction (New Build, Remodel, Landscape) cost estimates.
• Develop a partnership with the internal Sales and Design teams
• Assist sales staff with information and pricing during pre-construction
• Submit POs to Asset Manager and other office staff
• Continually update databases used (costs of parts and services)
• Complete plan take-off and enter bid information into estimating software
• Calculate total direct cost estimates for each project
• Assign or propose profit margins based on current pricing guidelines w/ support from Sales Management
• Prepare a Bid Summary for each estimate
• Estimate change orders
• Review/audit subcontractor bills against estimates and/or contracts (variance analysis)

Qualifications

• Extensive understanding of construction methods
• Ability to read and understand plans and specifications
• Ability to build strong relationships with internal staff and subcontractors/suppliers
• Ability to project a professional image and a positive attitude
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Proficiency in computer applications (various software)
• Extensive understanding of business math  and financial reporting

Position Benefit Details

• Salary:  $52,000 – $64,000  (up to 5% annual bonus based on individual and company performance)
